As one of the UK’s leading Asian food manufacturers, Bradford-based Mumtaz continues to grow in the Yorkshire and Humber region after starting life as a family run restaurant. This world renowned company now employs over 150 local people, supplies products to some of the UK’s largest supermarkets, and produces and exports packaged food to over 40 countries, including Malaysia and Dubai.
Mumtaz also benefits from working with the UK’s National Health Service (NHS) through a recently forging partnership to provide health trusts across the country with their Halal baby food range.
With a skilled and flexible workforce of over two million people, home to some of the UK’s largest food manufacturers, mature supply chains of producers, manufacturers, wholesalers and distributors, Yorkshire and Humber provides a great location for businesses in the food and drink industry.
With operating costs around 20 per cent lower than the national average, keeping its operations in the region has given Mumtaz a strong competitive advantage. Recently opening a new factory in Halifax, Mumtaz plans to keep all core activity in the region as the company continues to grow.
Bradford is currently undergoing a renaissance which has already seen £1billion worth of investment completed or on-site.
