£10m for Hull's fruit market

Plans for the regeneration of Hull's fruit market have advanced with the news that the project has received an additional £10.45 million in funding.
The Homes and Communities Agency (HCA) is to give a cash injection to the project in order to revive the stalled project.
Last month plans for the area stagnated after the development agency could not reach an agreement with its preferred developer, Manchester-based Igloo.
But now things appear to be back on track - the funding should see the completion of further land acquisition, the design of a multi-story car park and selective demolition and site clearance.
John Holmes, chief executive of Hull Forward, said he was "absolutely delighted" by the decision.
"Not only does this funding ensure that our longer terms objectives will be met, but it also allows us to deliver shorter term measures which will animate the area," he explained.
The HCA is a housing and regeneration agency, aiming to help local authorities deliver their ambitions.
