A web portal created in Yorkshire has been given an award for its services.
The Training Gateway, which connects every university in the UK to the international business community, was set up by the University of York's Continuing Professional Development (CPD) unit and has been given a prize at the Times Higher Education Awards.
It was named the winner of the Outstanding Employer Engagement Initiative category, as it helped companies discover universities that can provide the services they need.
Amanda Selvaratnam, manager of the university's CPD unit and director of the Training Gateway, stated: "Winning this award highlights the fact that every university is now involved in working closely with employers and that we are taking it seriously."
The network has 830 members, who are contacted about 70 business opportunities each month.
Last month, the Training Gateway was launched in the East Midlands.
The official launch of the project was in the House of Commons on July 14th this year.
